Notes: Behind the Műcsarnok is the world's largest hourglass. The Budapest Time Wheel was unveiled as Hungary joined the European Union in 2004. It is made of granite, stainless steel and glass, and it takes one year for the "sand" (glass granules) to flow from the top to bottom. The 60-ton hourglass is manually turned 180 degrees every New Year's Eve.
